Limited edition retro release. Original 1990 graphics.
New Deal Skateboards, founded in 1990, was one of the first skater-owned skate companies as far as modern skateboarding is concerned. The company was created through a coming together of UK skateboarder Steve Douglas, industry figure Paul Schmitt, and artist/skateboarder Andy Howell. New Deal Skateboards was born in the early 90s, at a point in skateboard history where there major brands that dominated the industry didn´t really push the culture forward. New Deal was all about low budget DIY culture, trick-evolution and innovation, and focused mostly on unknown rippers (that later became icons). With sick graphics, many of them designed by Gothenburg native Gorm Boberg, New Deal Skateboards set the mode for a new era and decade in skateboarding.
